Back to School Sales and Daily 5

Has anyone gotten any really great deals for back to school? This is my first year KNOWING what is already inside of my classroom! =) What are your "go to" products to buy before back to school?

Last year, I implemented the Daily 5 with my Kinders but I want to have more resources this year! I just bought these goodies from TPT to use in daily 5:

 

I'm excited for my Kinders to be more independent with these I can cards!

 Work on Writing:

I fell in LOVE with this menu and knew it would be a perfect fit for "Work on Writing" I plan to use it in collaboration with Caitlin Clabby's Work on Writing Pack as seen below:

Word Work:

One activity I plan on using for Word Work is a freebie from A Differentiated Kindergarten. This is perfect for those hands-on learners! All I need is to buy the beads!

 

I will use these free labels from Life is Sweet in Kindergarten to organize my Word Work center!

Listen to Reading:

 

My Listen to Reading Center will include ebooks and story app's such as storia. I also plan on students taking comprehension tests on Scholastic's Reading Counts on the iPad and computer during centers. There will be specific shortcuts on the desktop for students to use during Listen to Reading such as We Give Books, Read to Me, Tumblebooks, Storyline, and Barnes and Noble Online.

I will have to post about my favorite iPad app's to use and how I use technology in my classroom!

Let's Get Acquainted Linky Party!

Latoya from Flying Into First is hosting a "get to know you" linky party! This is perfect for me because this will be my first BLOG post! :) I have had a TPT account for months and have blogstalked for longer than that, so I am finally jumping into the blog world!

This linky involves answering questions tic-tac-toe style! Each Sunday, there will be a new tic-tac-toe board! I chose the first vertical column.

 

I went to the University of Central FL! UCF is the 2nd largest university in the country! My favorite memory was when I made the UCF Cheer Team!

My first year of teaching was LAST YEAR! It was a great year with 17 wonderful Kindergarten students! I am so happy that I will be in the same classroom this year! =)

My favorite grade is KINDERGARTEN! I love love love my little babies and being one of their first teachers! Seeing their growth and their progress is absolutely amazing!
